So I had to go to the job centre today.
I truely believe it is one of the most demeaning things I have done in my life. Especially considering it is the first time I have been at the job centre since that thing with the company in Edinburgh. I have never had a more 'I don't believe you' look in my life. I was feeding off all my details to the guy, but he did nothing. He just sat judging me.
If someone tells you that a job they applied to through your service is doing illegal activities, you may want to at least pretend to give a shit. Surely an advisor at the job centre should be a little bit more helpful and positive. You are dealing with people who are maybe struggling, have had bad experiences with finding work and begin to lose hope. It is an opertunity to give those people hope and get them caring about their future. Not sit behind a desk and judge. If you have no care or customer service skills you should not be 'helping' the unemployed.
Fuck, I reckon I could do that job with a bit more enthusiasm. Which wouldnt be hard.
