So, today was a blast!
My sister came over last night to go to the Homecoming game, which is cool beans :) (I never get to see any of my family, even though we all live in the same county. I'm so horribly busy.) Anyway, the point.
This morning I held down space at the Homecoming Open House...which basically people come to in order to meet up and talk, not actually look at things that are going on in the room (which is funny) I for sure wasn't the only table that few stopped at.
After that, I made a mad dash back to the apartment to get Rachel, and went back to campus for some Buddy's Barbeque fun. Yeah, nice lunch. Then began Parade dash...where I had to run around in circles to find my crew (Amnesty International Truck! Yeah :)) and then
sweeetpeaches so my sister could chill with her during the parade. Makes me tired thinking about how many laps I made in like 20 minutes...
but the parade was great fun. Over too quick actually. For those of you familiar with the area we only went from App Commons down to Stokley, then around in front of the Sac to Alumni, up the street towards Butler, & ended in the Butler parking lot. And we only did it once. So it took like 10 minutes max. But we threw candy & had a great time in the process :)
After that was the game. I've definitely seen better, we barely won (10-7 C-N, we were playing Mars Hill). After someone was in my seats & didn't get up, I spent the first half of the game stuck behind a certain Carson-Newman student cheer section who STOOD the entire first half. Entire. W/o butts touching chairs for even a second. I understand this concept during normal games, but when 5,000 people are in the stadium it's not a normal day...and there were alumni & everything in the same section as the group. Well, they didn't even think for a split second about anybody else but them...so I spent the first half seeing little of the game. Luckily they sat the hell down for halftime, or I would've went crazy on some asses. :) After halftime performance of the band & my baby
travtower and some snack runnin' on our part, we moved to the top of the stands with
sweeetpeaches and enjoyed the rest of the game. But I'm still fuming though.
So yeah, fun day!!! I put pics on facebook.
