On Scarborough County (MSNBC), they're talking about the Dixie Chicks, who have again went "overboard" on their political opinions, this time calling the president a dumb fuck. Instead of even bothering to explain where this was said at, etc, the news just talked about doomed the Chicks are because they're going to go bankrupt because everyone's gonna stop listening to their music. That's so stupid. Sure, I'm sure they aren't selling as much tickets as they could be in the good 'ole south if they didn't have a brain, but, well, they do, and they aren't afraid to speak their minds and support their opinions, so yeah, Southern idiots who can't take some brutal truth are going to stop listening to music just because the artist has a backbone. If I like music, I'm going to listen to it. I think I like the Chicks a bit more for their audacity...(is that spelled right?), but somehow I feel like I'd still listen to them if I didn't agree...I might not go as far to go to concert to hear them say things I disagreed with, but I wouldn't destroy all their cd's, etc. It's music. I just don't understand the big deal...

I AM sad because they canceled the K-town tour date...one of the ones they dropped. There's a Nashville & an Atlanta date...I might try & go. Maybe.
