While I am in total denial about my age, I have to admit I don't think I could take the student life any more. Yesterday I sat through several lectures on Particle Physics, and whilst they were interesting, at the end of the morning session of three hours, when I went to get up I was so stiff after being inactive that long, it took a while for me ( Read more... )

LOL - hon, if you could see me today, you'd feel fine... I slept on a friend's sofa last night, and the only way to get off the damn thing this morning was to push with one leg till I rolled over far enough for gravity to take over. Tragic!

Oh yeah - huge amounts of pain involved, and almost zero on the dignity... especially lying face down on the floor this morning, giggling too much to get up... I may be 'old', but I'm still waiting to grow up. *hg*

Don't bother, I never have, my daughter keeps telling me I am a born again teenager, and its much more fun than being old, even if our bodies can't keep up.

Sitting still is HARD! Nothing leaves me in more pain - physical AND mental. And what are you doing posting when Doctor Who is on??? O:

I can never catch Dr Who on a Saturday, so I have given up trying, I try and watch the repeat later in the week. It is just on at such a bad time.

Even when I was young, I tended to doze off in lectures anyway (mini-cassette recorders saved my life).

Oh me too LOL - I still occasionally come across some lecture recording from one of my archaeology lecturers! Sadly can't remember any of it though!

Talk about being stiff, all these work as a full time archaeologist is rapidly killing me - it's not the sitting still so much as the carrying heavy things!!

As the great Indiana Jones said "it's not the years honey, it's the mileage!"
