All the cultures were negative. Apparently I have contact dermatitis. From hell.
The nurse informed me the treatment is to wash the area with soap and water, then apply a wet compress.
For one hour.
Three times a day.
(then apply steroid cream.)
I said, "I have an infant and a three-year-old."
The nurse said sympathetically, "I know, but this is the recommended treatment. If you could even do it once a day..."
I said, "I am about to cry, because that is not going to happen."
I asked for steroid shots as an alternative. Still waiting to hear back.
ETA: Steroid shot is a no-go because it could disrupt my milk supply. They prescribed a stronger steroid cream and I will do compresses to the best of my ability.
