Rounding my Thoughts

My life isn't busy but ever since my Mentor has taken me on her production for work experience - it has been. Such a contrast - last next absolutely nothing to do other than pe-texting [I'm really meaning pestering but trying to put them together] people, now I have no time to go on to facebook!! So amazing when you have something to do.
So far, it's Day 2. AMAZING! In my team, people are really polite with me and I have to take tasks off them - only the stupid silly stuff like go and check what colour the board is, straightening curled up wallpaper - and now I've been given tasks. YEAH!! The team is bit crazy - I've worked with, obviously my mentor, but also with this other girl. Construction guys are mental. One bizarre thing, I remember Co-Ordinator plus Co-Ordinator Assistant from Film Training saying as a trainee, you should always introduce yourself. Well, when I was on this, I haven't; I should say that people introduced themselves first [I wanted to introduce myself first but wasn't quick enough]. Coming to think of it, is it because I'm in pre-production whereas in production there's some ego-power going on? Who knows. I'm enjoying myself. And I hope I get to go on again.
I really felt part of the team when Co-Ordinator came in and gave me this envelope, inside was another envelop it was from Y.G. he wrote me a letter. Anyways, the best bits are:
"I've thoroughly enjoyed having our strange Doctor Who text alert conversations as of late. It was always great having someone who was into the same kind of random geeky programmes and everything as me which would take the conversational edge of a particularly heavy 2nd Light heavy day."
- Just shows you that some people in the same industry as you can't talk about industry-related news 24/7. (Co-Ordinator said that it's good talking about films with industry professional) Now I can assure you, the Art Department and Production team talks about everything apart from films.

"II never really understood how you're passion for film translated into film making until I saw...Whenever you would talk about the engineering stuff you did in Uni it would be in the flattest most unexcited voice but when I heard you talk about production design - ...it was rather humbling"
- Yeah, I know, a lot of people don't actually think I'm passionate about film but what is, I'm not passionate about film making instead it's a different aspect.

But the most, motivating would be,
"Anybody with a lick of sense would see why you are a necessity on their and anybody that doesn't, doesn't deserve to have you on it. You've got style and you've got grumption and I can't wait to see what you can do out there."
- Some people will never understand the importance of what I do...

Complete change of subject - I had a dream. I wasn't cheating, C.T. knew about it but I was also seeing Big K. and both relationship felt a bit like I had two part time jobs. Quite bizarre. But even more bizarre it was with Big K.

letter, film training, quote, dream
