48hrs of Hectic-Ride
I'll start from the top...
Tuesday 4th January
Got a miss call from Annoying Man.
Went clubbing.
After clubbing, we went to eat and we talked about family tree. I can't do one.
That's when MelMel realised the complications of my family - both sides of my family. I understand that everyone has family issue - you have to - but when they say that they can't handle it, my reaction is usually, "Look both sides of my family has problems that goes back 30years, if I haven't gone insane then don't worry you can handle it".
Wednesday 5th January
More miss call from Annoying Man. Went to the cinema to see 'Gulliver's Travels' and then he got a hold of us to say that my Big Uncle is in hospital and it's critical, plus he wants to see us. Mugi and I refused to go. Then he said that it was up to me when to go but I knew he wants to go asap. The interesting part is that it didn't matter how much the prices were as he would pay me back. Ah Sok heard this and was laughing. And so, we were looking for the cheapest option, let's face it, I won't see this money.
My Auntie Yin phones.
Auntie Yin: How long are you staying?
Me: Just like 3 days.
Auntie Yin: Have you managed to get the day off work?
Me: No. It's too short notice so I'll be travelling on Monday.
Auntie Yin: Ok. What days do you work?
Me: Just Saturday and Sunday so it'll be fine.
Auntie Yin: How about training?
Me: I told him and it's fine.
Auntie Yin: Oh, alright. Your Big Uncle said that he was always happy to see you two but don't want to bother you to come because you are busy and flight prices are expensive. But just see what you can do, yeah?
Me: Yes.
And so, we have to go and it turns out that Annoying Man wasn't lying that he wanted to see us. However, Mugi and I are wondering why he's happy to see us. I suggested that we are the most liveliest Lau's and a bit stupid so it's entertaining. We are just different.
I told mum that we have to go and see Big Uncle. Then I added that Annoying Man would pay me back and she laughed.
Thursday 6th January
C.T. was over and then Annoying Man came over so I sneaked C.T. into my bed - 'I have a boy in my room' hehe and then sneaked him out, no one noticed.
The conversation went something like this...
Annoying Man: Monday? Why not Saturday? I want to go on Saturday.
Me: I have to work.
Annoying Man: Can you ask for a day off?
Me: This is Thursday. I'm going in 2 days! Who's going to work my shifts?!
Annoying Man: Oh right, I get it. You need to do a shift swap.
Me: Well, yeah. If you are working in a take away and you want a day off, you would need to swap shifts, yes?
Annoying Man: Ok.
I went for a shower and I thought that he would be going with Mugi, whilst I travel on Monday. Turns out I was right.
Phone call came, it was Auntie Yin. Annoying Man was explaining the situation to Auntie Yin, who didn't have a clue what he was on about. Sorted.
Mugi would be spending 2 days with him so I tried to get her out of it by checking the weather which turned out that it would be cold therefore icy, and possibly snowing. Still didn't work. Almost did.
He didn't leave till 1am!
Went from almost no money to definately skint - my bank has completely dried out.
Friday 7th January
Annoying Man came over at 11am. Just like usual there was an argument between mum and him. He finally left the building and left the money! First time he's given me money. Turns out that somebody may have gave him the money. *sighs* I can't believe him - it's like the whole world owes him. I feel guilty that everyone has pretty much financed him.
Generally, I don't understand the point in starting a family if you aren't going to take any responsibility.
I also feel it's funny to hear that he threw at mum, "I did a share of looking after my daughters." We laughed. I think he was suppose to say is that his daughters did a share of financing you!!!
This year it looks like I won't be celebrating my birthday.
