The Words
My "personal goal" was actually my goal for the February Ficcing Fest (renamed since the beginning of February). My plan was 30 days of writing and posting, approximately 750 words per fic (day). My average story word count for Febff: 615.1 words. This was helped by two 'longer' fics at the end, Avowal and Mimetic, plus a view other ficlets that were over the 750 word goal, but not quite a thousand words. I wouldn't have made the month's goal without the Clexmas True Love Fest fics.
Challenges:
Last year and this, I looked toward February to be full of porny ficbits. While this year, the average number of porny vs non-porny fics is higher, by word count I'm short and about mid-month, I gave up and just went with the fluff and fun.
However, when weighted against the Clexmas True Love Fest ficlets, nonporn won this month. I'm okay with that.
Pairings:
By word count, I wrote more non-Clex pairings (not gen, but actual pairings that were not just Clex). This included a couple of threesomes, one with Bruce, which I dabbled in lat year, but also one with Lois. It was quite a bit of fun to write that dynamic, even if it's not something I see myself coming back to.
Then there was the Lex/Oliver that was going to be a 5+1 with lots of hate/angry sex that... exploded messily. I'm still cleaning up bits and pieces of that, though now it occurs to me that there's more unposted-but-written words that I didn't account for above. *fixes*
And that's all I've got for last month.
