Given the count, there's not a lot to say about this, obviously. And breaking it down would just be pathetic, at this point.
I did write more than I thought I had, but to get even the total above, I had to count unfinished fics, scraps that will never go anywhere, and some original fiction. It's all legal, as per the rules, but it's a bit... deceptive, I guess. It bothers my brain. But I couldn't go with just the 490 words of comment!fic I managed.
Today, I've broken down what I need to write this month of May to get back on track for the year (instead of being smart and spreading it out over May and June).
And then I took it a step further and broke it down into what I'd need to write every weekend, because writing doesn't seem to be happening during the week. Between the television we watch (7 hours minimum until Supernatural and Glee and Castle are over) and the amount of time I've started putting into working out... yeah. Weekdays are slaughtered. And since I've already given up on watching this season's Smallville, I have Friday evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays to write.
So, it's only 2243 words a day, Friday-Saturday (not counting last night). And with clexmas's Spring Fling due this month and SVBB due next month... I have plenty of solid things to be working on. *eyes fic list* we'll see how that goes.
My brain is turning more often to original fiction, but that's a yearly phase and one I'll be out of shortly, I'm sure. Those stories aren't going anywhere either, sadly.
