My husband's half-brother passed away sometime last night, of cancer. He had a longtime live-in girlfriend, but she apparently is not emotionally up to dealing with arrangements, so my husband is having to do it, as he is the only family member living in the same town and physically able (though his sister is helping from afar).
We're surrounded by death this spring, it seems. (My best friend/chosen sister's dad; Zoe; and now this...)

I might not reply to condolences, as I will be busy doing what I can to help my husband and be there for him, but they are appreciated.
