Predictably for Who fandom, the initial reaction seems to be varying wildly.
What I think: On top he looks a bit like a nerdy college kid who raided his granddad's closet. But it works. Helps counterbalance Matt Smith's youngness for the part. Right in keeping with the Doctor's eccentric image. Especially with the work boots for that little touch of incongruity. Overall, he doesn't look bad in it.
I like the fact that they appear to have trimmed his hair. That was one thing that put me off a bit when I saw the first images when he was initially cast. Now it just looks like it might look a bit Peter Petrelli from Heroes season 1 if he turned his head the other way, but I can live with that.
And Karen Gillan as Amy Pond (nice name) looks cute and approachable.
