Thanks! I'm finding that Ten and Donna are my favorite Doctor-companion combination to write. They had such great chemistry together, better than Ten and Rose in some ways. And I really appreciated that they didn't take it in a romantic direction (even though I had them get the tiniest bit flirty at the end of this story).

No need to be sorry, I love rambles! (Or else I wouldn't be so into Ten, would I?)

The Doctor's reasons in this story for not telling his name are a guess, though not entirely an original one, I confess. They were sort of stolen from inspired by the concept of "soul names" in Elfquest, believe it or not. Though I don't picture Time Lords doing the Recognition thing.

I leave it to the reader to speculate about why he did eventually tell River Song his name despite the potential danger. (She must have been *really* something.)

She's definitely fun to write. I love how she won't let him get away with the kind of crap that used to serve him so well. I can't imagine how they can possibly top Donna as a canonical companion. *hopes to be proven wrong*
