Okay, here's some pictures from my Australia trip. The descriptions are going to be short and sweet; mostly because I'm feeling lazy and don't want to do more than that. I'm also too lazy to divide this into two entries, so if it's too slow in loading because of all the pictures, let me know and I'll split it up.

Here we go...

I went with my two really good friends D & K. They're twin sisters and their parents are currently living in Australia. They're coming home end of October, so we needed to take advantage of the free lodging while we could get it! We were gone for 2 weeks. The first week we spent in Armidale and Coffs Harbour.

Armidale:

Armidale is a small town about an 8 hour drive north of Sydney. That is where D & K's parents actually live. Definitely not a bustling town by any means, but it does have a university (University of New England) and was very cold! The customs guy at the airport told us Armidale is "cold as hell!" He was right.

Who knew that Peter Allen lived in Armidale?! I certainly didn't. This is the back of our historical city tour bus.

The Armidale Folk Museum is a building that used to be some kind of music club that Peter Allen performed at when he was young.

Kangaroos in the wild!!

Ebor Falls. Part of Waterfalls Way. Unfortunately, there wasn't much water going over any of them, so it wasn't as dramatic as it could have been. Still beautiful though.

Dorrigo National Park. We went on a 3 hour walk/hike and saw many interesting plants and beautiful things.

Definitely wouldn't be messing with this plant!

Tristania Falls in Dorrigo National Park

Newell Falls in Waterfall Way

Coffs Harbour:

If I were to move to Australia, I would live in Sydney or Coffs Harbour. Coffs Harbour is a beach resort type town. Absolutely. Gorgeous.

Apparently, Australia has lots of "big" things. Big Pineapple, Big Guitar, Big Ant, etc. Click here for a list. The Big Banana is considered to be the first "big thing" in Australia. We went there looking for total cheese and a gift shop to buy goofy souvenirs. We found it.

The second week we spent in Sydney. It was awesome. My favorite part of the city was down at Circular Quay (pronounce "key"). Look to your right is the Opera House, look to your left is the Sydney Harbour Bridge. And all in front of you is Sydney Harbour. Really beautiful place.

Sydney:

Sydney Opera House:

Sydney Harbour Bridge:

Luna Park. Crazy psycho clown entrance to a very historical Coney Island inspired amusement park. It's right at the base of the north end of the bridge.

It was even more psychotic at night.

Archibald Fountain in Hyde Park.

The Rocks. One of the oldest settlement areas of Sydney. It's where the convict ships docked. Many of the buildings were built by the new "settlers."

Darling Harbour at night.

Pair of Rainbow Larakeets that landed on the railing of a cafe where we were having lunch.

University of Technology. I'm a fangirl, I had to find it.

Awwww, so cute. At a Koala Park in Carlingford.

Bronte Beach.

Bondi Beach (Pronounced "bond-eye". They're quite particular about that pronunciation.)

We kept our eyes open at both Bronte and Bondi Beach since we were there on the weekend. Too bad there was no Hugh in sight. Turns out it was the weekend of the birthday party. Oh well, we saw our fair share of hot Aussies.

We went to the Sydney Swan aussie rules football game at Olympic Stadium. Crazy awesome game.

Discovered a restaurant that is a MUST if you're ever in Sydney! Pancakes on the Rocks. We actually went twice it was so yummy. This was my breakfast the morning we left.

So that's my two week trip in a nutshell. We had a fantastic time and I would definitely recommend Australia to anyone! The flight was very long, but not as torcherous as I thought it would be. Though I was definitely glad to get off the plane when we finally landed.

Hope you enjoyed all the pictures!
