An entry about Sims 2 because I have no life.

Sims 2! Glorious wonder of the 2000s. I'm bored at work (Fridays are generally quiet, but in summer they get even quieter) so I'm reading people's Sims 2 Legacies in one of the communities. Fun!

I think I played for three hours yesterday, maybe even longer. I started up a family (not yesterday, but a few days ago) called Lee, which consisted of a black man called Russell and an Asian woman called Honey. I got the inspiration for the latter from this year's Miss Korea, who was called - you guessed it - Honey Lee. I chose this combination of ethnicities because I wanted to see what their children looked like. They turned out to be average "black looking", though, with no Asian features whatsoever from what I could tell. Maybe I should have gone for a black mother and an Asian father?

Anyway, they had a son called Damon and a daughter called Madelynn. Everything was going well, and the kids got into private school. Russell worked in the police and Honey in the science field. The kids also got after-school jobs when they were teens. When Damon transitioned into an adult, I moved him out because he wanted to. The three others lived happily for a while, until some sort of glitch struck; Madelynn came home from work, but got stuck in the car somehow. She kept wanting to get out and do stuff around the house, but she just couldn't. After a while, she did open the door and got out; however, she got stuck, not inside the car, but in the side of the car, like her torso became engulfed by the side of the car. So, she stood there, still wanting to go inside the house and do stuff, but she just couldn't move. The only thing she could do was interact with other Sims. I had her mother go outside and talk to her and try to cheer her up, but Madelynn eventually passed out, because she didn't get any food, rest or anything. And she rieked of course, because she hadn't showered in forever! People kept gathering around her, worrying, like the maid and the mailwoman, but there was nothing they or I could do.

Another weird thing that happened at this point was that the gardeners wouldn't stop coming. Hahaha! That sounds weird. The gardener's truck stopped across the street, and not one, but three gardeners came out! And none of them did any gardening (except maybe one, a little bit), but they kept taking baths in the bath tub, watching TV and sleeping in the beds! Mildly odd, if you ask me. One of the gardeners, Parker, has also been very eager to be friends with Honey after the strange visit (although she was not at home at that point). Hahahaha! A gardener named Parker! I only now saw the funny in that.

Finally though, Madelynn died. How sad! And what's weird was that her father died of old age later the same day. So Honey lost her daughter and her husband, all within the same day. That's awful! Honey lost her mind a bit after that (she had grown into an old woman by this point), and got a pink mohawk and the full face paint. One of her wants at that point was to have a grandchild - how crushing! I guess she still had that possibility in Damon, though, but I haven't played with him any more, yet. Honey is a family Sim, so I felt bad for her that she should be alone. I had her adopt two children (both girls - Amanda and Sadie), and hooked her up with Trista Shaw, as she was the one she had the best relationship with. I also had Honey drink the Elixir of Life to get younger, so that she wouldn't pass away too soon. And now, well I guess she's doing fine now. She and Trista got married (the wedding party got the rating of Roof Raiser!) and are constantly woohoo-ing because Trista is such a shameless romance Sim who wants to do things like make out and woohoo with 5 different Sims. I don't let her, though! My Sims are (generally) faithful.

Wow, that turned into way too long an entry. Hey look, it's lunch time now! I should have posted some pictures with this. Maybe I'll add some later. I hope this was at least a bit entertaining for those of you who play Sims 2... :P
