Another arbitrary date
Well 2009 is now behind us. I for one am glad and hoped it died screaming. I'd have liked it to take certain individuals with it but I digress. And now we sit in a nice new year. And for some reason, probably cultural bias, we are led to believe that because the year has clicked over it's a bright new chance and things will just be better than yesterday. Well If roaming around the sun for as long as I have has taught me anything it's this.
Unless you get up and do it yourself - expect more of the same. Sometimes even then.
Also, bad as it is - it can always get worse.
