Blogs Without Comments Piss Me Off

Honestly, why the hell would you even bother keeping a (public) blog if you’re not going to allow comments on it? I realize comment spam is a major problem, but come on… A blog without comments is, to borrow an eloquent phrase, “mental masturbation,” if not downright arrogance.
Hmm. But then again, what about a blog with comments but no commenters? *grin*
In any case: for everything about Scoble that gets under my skin, I have to give him this: he’s brave enough to weather the usually-harsh comments on whatever crazy idea last popped into his head. Most people can’t or won’t endure that kind of criticism.
