Two in as many days! you lucky buggers.
Ok, last thursday I sent away a submission to 2000AD comics, my first professional submission. Faster than I ever would have expected, I got a reply. This morning, the SAE that I wrote out myself was lying on my bed for me, and it said exactly what I thought it would - No thank you.
Long story short - I'm too wordy, not enough action. "over reliance on expositional dialogue." Now admittedly, the format I had in mind for the comic made dialogue pretty important, but I can see where they are coming from, not enough action. The answer is simple - I'm gonna have to go hollywood on their asses.
I have not yet begun to fight...
