Cruise Control
Today was the kick off to the International Freedom Festival in Windsor/Detroit. The majority of the family went to take in a rather impressive fireworks display. It leaves one with an impression of "WOW"...especially when you can "feel" the shock waves reverberate through your body. It was a pretty good time in spite of being charged with the return drive. We took the van which drives like a sleepy bus an no cruise control. Of all highway traffic the 401 is by far the worst. Firstly Toronto...anywhere around Toronto is hell to drive. It's followed very closely by Windsor. The motorists are insane, but so are the OPP patrol cruisers on that stretch of highway.
For instance, one such cruiser blasts past me in the express lane doing at least 140km/h with no lights. He proceeds to do this until nearly ramming a transport that didn't see him flying along.
In short, I would rather avoid driving those sections of highway whenever I can. LoL
