Oh it's been a while since I updated. Obviously I've been busy. Actually that's not true. I've spent the last couple of years playing with a Mars bar I found on the pavement.

I've now decided, that since I am at university, I should keep a journal of what's going on.

I guess last night would be a logical place to start. I went to see blonde Ollie's band, the Gingerbread Men. After looking at the size of the venue, which was slightly bigger than a double bedroom, I guess I expected they'd be as good as shit on toast, but they were actually quite good, sort of like a cross between At The Drive In and the Pigeon Dectectives. Probably shouldn't have spent seven quid on a shirt, but that's life.

We arrived back at Bridges and politely crashed G2s kitchen party. Zoe and Leon were quite clearly off with each other. Rob and Nick disappeared not long after arriving, Leon was coming and going. Emily, for no apparent reason, had a complete spaz attack and sent her boyfriend a bunch of angry texts. She was annoyed that he'd gone out to the birthday of a girl she didn't really know. As for me? I spent the night chasing after Tonya. I tried not to make it too blatant, but apparently everyone knows I'm into her anyway (not that you'd need to be a genius to figure it out). She repeatedly asked me if I thought Ben was being a twat and whether she was being stupid. This is annoying because really, I want to say "Yeah just stop texting him you're clearly wasting your time", but that would make me feel like a mecenary, even if it is what seems to me to be the correct thing to say.

Anyway, in the wee hours of the morning Zoe came back announcing that she'd split up with Leon #1, which resulted in him slamming the door in her face and telling her to fuck off, although probably not in that order. For some reason Zoe seemed quite pre-occupied with the whereabouts of Will Grindall. From what I understood of the conversation, I gathered that Will had gone to console Leon. Ever a man of the people, it's nice to know that Will can take some time out of his busy schedule of 'paki-bashing' to be there for someone. From there things began to make even less sense. Zoe told us that Rob went into her room to have a word, and proceeded to tell her that Leon wasn't the right man for her because he was so camp. Wtf? Anyway, I feel asleep to the sound of Emily arguing over the phone with her boyfriend, woke up and decided it was time to go bed.

Today I have to tidy my room as I'm giving tours of Bridges Hall. The email I got said I'd get £6 an hour, unfortunately, they neglected to mention that I'd be working for less than an hour. I'm wondering how I'm going to gloss over the fact that this place is a bit of an eyesore. Actually for me it's an upgrade, after having lived on grotty council estates in the arse-end of Thamesmead, but it's still about as attractive as maggots on your dinner. The TV room is missing a lot of wallpaper due to damp, and the pool table has been smashed up. The Swan (bar) looks a bit nicer now it's been refurbished, but the general look of the place from the outside is a 60's council estate. Best of luck to me I guess.
