[There's some mumbling in English barely caught by the communicator, as Rage had placed it on her bed while she shuffles around the room, probably looking for something.] Damn it, okay so Horton's out of the question, at least thus-far. I'll start on the top floor tomorrow. I really need to keep track of this somehow.
Hey, scientists! [This is

I'd be more comfortable telling you in person though. It's a bit of a secret too.

...b-but it's really a secret, you know? I'm dead serious! Those lips of yours need to be sealed tight with what I've gotta tell you.

A soup kitchen. Really? Not that it isn't resourceful and all but it makes me feel kind of pathetic, which I'm not used to at all. I'd rather not even try. Is the stuff here even any good? And by good I mean, what is the chance that I will contract food poisoning afterward?

It gets the food out to people who otherwise don't have access to any.
[ He made a face and pushed the remainder away. That was enough for now. ]
I haven't heard of anyone dying from the stuff here. So, what's up?

It's almost like I didn't leave New York at all. Just, the parts of New York that you never visit twice.
[She resisted the urge to poke at the leftovers. It didn't look pretty at all and she thought if she touched it it would jump off the plate or something.]
I bet they keep it on the down-low. Keeps business going that way. [Her eyes went to his face then immediately away, drumming her fingers on the table.] You wouldn't be too insulted if I used you as a delivery boy, would you? We could get you a cute uniform and everything, or at least something halfway decent.

[ No, he wasn't going to say how he knew about that little detail. Instead he played with the rim of his cup, looking at the meat. ]
Funny thing - it doesn't have a taste... [ He looked up and blew hair out of his eyes, chuckling slowly. ] This is not Earth so I think I can manage something without getting bribed. So what and to whom?

Now now, no twisting my words around. I said parts of New York There are other parts that I could visit twice, and three times, or four, or fifty and beyond because I have an exclusive membership and behind the curtain passes where all the nitty-gritty stuff goes down. And believe me, things go down. [A wicked mischievous smile spread over her lips.] No amount of jet-lag was going to keep me away from Tokyo's darkest and tantalizing hangouts. I had a night out in the town with Shuichi and Trap-chan when we got to Japan.
[She doesn't bother mentioning she'd eventually ditched them to invade a gay bar, which had been so very worth it. The things she'd seen... it was beautiful. She'd almost cried. Being so caught up in the moment, she ignored the little the reset of the conversation until Ryuichi got to the "what and ( ... )

[ He pfft lightly and finished off the water and - after a moment's thought - wrapped the piece of meat up. Tasteless and tough, it would still work as part of a stew if he got his hands on some canned goods. ]
I see I'm dealing with a woman that's not afraid to get into the dirtiest places to fulfill some of her goals in life.
[ He smiled, giving her one of his stage smiles, which was one part seductive and one part wicked. ]
Is that so? Well, I can't deny an artist tools for his craft.

Making diamonds out of the blackest of coal is my specialty. And it's something I'm damn good at too. It's not limited to sneakily observing pretty boys with pretty boys of course. Not at all.
[Working with young, gorgeous musicians had done its toll on her, so smiles like that usually didn't so much as phase her, but something about Ryuichi's cause her fingers to stop drumming away on the table and her hand clenched into a tight fist. Jerking her head away quickly to make sure he couldn't the awkward look in her eye. Damn, he really was a professional in every sense.]
Exactly. You'll be doing your junior pop singer a rewarding amount of good. And if he tries to complain about not having material to write lyrics with, if he ever gets around to writing anything, then we'll know just how to respond. I've got to at least get the stuff first before I hand them over, but when I do you can pick them up at my place. [She hesitated before continuing, her ( ... )

[ He knew what his stage smiles did to people, so after a moment or two of using it, he relaxed, letting a more natural smile grace his face and soften his eyes. ]
Shuichi is just spoilt, as I have told Tohma the other day. I'm hoping he can get over it and do some work and if he needs the stuff, well, then he will have it right? And I really don't see why he would need to know where it comes from.

Of course of course! About damn time I got a major breakthrough deal like that. All my hard work pays off in the end.
[Of course she still wanted to ask about that whole 'singer turned movie star' thing but it could always wait. The change in Ryuichi's smile and his words brought her down from her excitement-driven high and there was a small quirk of her lips. Something like a smile she supposed. Shrugging she just answered back casually.]
Exactly. It isn't an issue. It'll keep him busy on those cold, lonely nights when Yuki kicks him out of the apartment again. And again. And again. Lets hope that notebook gets put to actual use soon.
