i think i have been nauseous from the sedative i got.
it had a pretty strong affect on me since i pretty much slept until this morning.
normally i can't just roll over and go to sleep mid-day but i just felt so relaxed.
also not eating anything but iceccream surely didn't help either but iv just begun to eat real soft food like sandwiches and coldcuts so my stomachs been settling.

when i got home my mom tried to get me to take the T3's and it was impossible to swollow due to my frozen jaw so i ended up spitting it out along with blood all over the sink and mirror.

i do remember waking up. they had put some sort of blind fold over me so that is what i first saw and then i saw the nurses and i wasn't sure what was going on since they weren't touching me at all, then they said they were completely done. i knew immediatly where i was and stuff. i also remember what happened right before i "fell asleep".
when i woke up a small part of me knew they were done, i guess i remember what everyone told me about their experiences. even though it felt like no time had passed.

i plan to go to work on monday. in fact im hoping to maybe go to a show this weekend too. what happened on day 5 and 6 that was so bad? i figured the worst was over even though iv not been in much pain.

cheers

i think that something must have gone slightly wrong with mine (were yours impacted?) because after i was able to poke my tongue into the back of my mouth i noticed that there were bitty pieces of tooth or something still sticking out of my gums. i guess that's normal and they fall out eventually. but maybe that's why i felt crappy? i basically had a crazy headache and my mouth was throbbing. richard surprised me with tickets to see Kids in the Hall 4 days after the surgery and i could hardly laugh (but it was still great).

you were eating cold cuts today!? it took me until day 3 to finally eat something real, and even then i wasn't really chewing, i was just biting it into little pieces with my front teeth and swallowing it. i'm sure that the lack of nutrition had a lot to do with the fact that i didn't feel well enough to go back to work until the end of the week.

i'm not sure why things are worse later on... again, maybe with me it was because there were still bits of tooth in me.

mine were not impacted, they were all out, but in terrible shape. two were half decayed and the other two had gaping holes/cavities. he told my mom they were crumbling and was surprised i was not in more pain beforehand.

i ate a sandwich today. soft breads and meats seem to be fine. i know its rather quick to be eating normal food again so i wonder if i should but i guess if it doesn't hurt.......other than soreness of the extraction site i feel fine in my mouth (im still kinda dizzy/out of it from the medication). i keep taking medication every few hours so maybe that is keeping any pain away.
i am just eating with the front part of my mouth. my stomach started to feel better after i began to eat food other than icecream.

my dentist called my mom and told her that day 3 might be when i swell up so to take 2 t3's before i go to sleep. so we'll see how tommorow goes. im kinda sad the sedative wore off because i felt very relaxed and it was nice to be able to lye in bed all day, normally even when im sick that's impossible for me.

iv waited years and years before i finally agreed to have this done and all that hesitation and worry for nothing (he told my mom during the procedure my anxiety level was high and he had to push more meds) because i think im doing really really well for all that has happened. it is strange how good it is going so far.

im sorry you had a raw deal with your teeth hurting so much. i bet alot of it had to do with impaction, that's obviously alot worse and serious.

cheers

also i worry about infection of the site because im eating and stuff already.
i stopped wearing gauze after yesturday because the bleeding had stopped.
i am swishing with salt water every few hours. i just hope something does not go terribly wrong down the road because things are going ok now.

also i didn't even really use an icepack and my cheeks are perfectly normal sized.
i don't get it.
