You break it and you buy it. And these clocks are one of a kind antiques, worth more than you are.

A lot more. As you stated, this face is atrocious and hideous*, but that is beside the point. Step away from the time-measurement device.

What would you even do with so many clocks? You're immortal, aren't you? What do you care for time?

Measuring the hours and the minutes is not the reason. I am a collector of fine time pieces. What better time piece would there be than a clock?

Even immortal psychopaths need hobbies, I guess.

[A scoff.]

Do you really think so lowly of me? I would be insulted, but your description is inaccurate so it isn't possible.

[oops no sorry he does mind. He grabs her arm when she attempts to go for the clock and gives it a tight squeeze, just to pull her away. But he won't let go and keep a tight grip.]

These clocks are records of time itself, and each one has a rich history that is both verbose and exquisite. For instance - the clock you just attempted to knock over is from before the Imperious Condescension even took the throne. [He points to another smaller one.] And that one is from a few sweeps after she left the planet.

[So. Terezi.

Ever wanted to learn about clocks? He knows you want to.]

["Let me go"? You mean "tell me more" right? Right.

He'll just give her a sharp tug (that may or may not cause some discomfort later in her arm) and pulls her over to another clock. And yes, it's also green. GOD HE LOVES HIS CLOCKS!!!]

This one goes back quite a while. I picked it up on one of my several trips down to Alternia, from a bazaar located around the desert regions of the planet. While I can normally not go out and be among the public, I was with a group at the time and had one of them pick it up for me.

It has a very long history, which I know in it's entirely thanks to my limitless knowledge. Would you like to hear about it? Yes, I think you do.
