E1 Entertainment will give SUCK, Canadian writer/director/star Rob Stefaniuk’s above-average horror/comedy, its U.S. DVD/Blu-ray debut. The company sent along cover art and full details on the rock ’n’ roll vampire film, which streets September 28.

SUCK follows the fortunes of The Winners, a small-time band whose tour becomes complicated when its guitarist (Jessica Paré, pictured left) is bitten by a bloodsucker and becomes one herself. Real-life musicians Alice Cooper, Iggy Pop and Moby have roles in the movie, along with Malcolm McDowell as vampire hunter “Eddie Van Helsig.” The discs will contain 16x9-enhanced 1.85:1 transfers, with 5.1 Surround Sound on the DVD and DTS-HD Master Audio on the Blu-ray. Special features are:

• Audio commentary

• Making-of featurette

• Deleted scenes

• Cast/crew interviews

• Music video

Retail price is $24.98 for each disc. SUCK will receive multiple theatrical bookings ahead of the disc release, including a screening at Montreal’s Fantasia festival next month.
