Flush

your brown eyes lie
vindictive she calls to the man at the end of the room.
but he never looks up.
dont stand up, just stay

let the shadows illuminate the walls.
fingers circling the pattern.
POISON.
and as pen strikes paper
numbers hiding that your brown eyes
lie.

dont stand up, just stay.
the walk is too much
too much
on such a desolate body.

what a thought
so much more than just one;
countless--
which not a single solution in the world could fix.
you look so flushed.

whats the problem here?
everything is so fine. just fine.
dont worry such a face away.
it only is
what you choose to see.
ignore it, and I promise,
you'll never know these lines again.
never trace the boundries with your tips.

all eyes lie.
[in the reflection]
but dont stand up, just stay.
the walk could be just too much.
