OOC: Muse summaries!

Dec 02, 2010 17:33

It occurred to be that I have a LOT of muses, and in this setting, all of our pups are supposed to know each other. So, rather than pester you guys with questions, I thought maybe we could write a few paragraphs on our pups as a reference post sort of thing, to be added to as we add muses (because hi, it's us--we'll have more muses).

Anyways, here are my kiddies in their own little individual nutshells. :D UPDATED as of 12/5/10

Charlotte Bradbury, better known as Charlie or Char. Charlie is the youngest adopted child of Ash and Lilith. She adores her mother beyond the telling and often gets VERY frustrated with Ash’s over protectiveness, but she loves her daddy too. She clings to her big brother Chris pretty hard because he’s all the blood she has. She’s dead set (no pun intended) on being turned--in fact, she would’ve totally been turned already if Ash hadn’t put his foot down and said ‘no, not until you turn eighteen’ (and honestly, the older she gets the more she sees the wisdom of that, but don’t tell Ash). She’s also dead set on losing this pesky virginity before she’s turned. Amusingly, despite being raised by two vampires and being one of the youngest of the Brat Pack, Char is probably the most well adjusted of my group. She’s not sure what she wants to do with her life, but she’s totally okay with not knowing and just enjoying life until she figures out who she is. She’s best friends (and occasional make-out buddies) with Reinette and by proxy, good friends (but not make-out buddies) with Alexis, and RICKY IS HER BOYFRIEND (she’s very giggly over the fact that SHE HAS A BOYFRIEND, YAY).

Adelie. Sort-of adopted daughter of Nicki Chopper. Adie is a Tin, but not, at least in most of Oz’s opinion, a very good one--she’s too emotional. She feels like she’s been given a very important task, protecting the Sannan children, and she takes it very, very seriously, even though most people in Oz think she was only given it because she’s close in age to the kids and is Nicki’s ward. So, yeah, there’s a big drive to prove herself, and prove she deserves it and can be a good fighter and a good guardian. She’s not…terribly close to anyone, actually, which is kind of sad, now that I think about it. She has a teeny tiny crush on Billy, which he either doesn’t see or doesn’t care about, and so she ends up super embarrassed by it and gets pissed at him easily.

L. J. Fraser. Regan and Lukas’s youngest. He’s an artistic sort, but as much as he loves taking pictures, he doesn’t really want to be a photographer (if he has to do it professionally, it won‘t be fun anymore). He’s also into magic, with an affinity for water magic, like Uncle Jed (who is his favorite, shhh). He’s also the only one of the kids that seems interested in learning the antiquing business from his mom. He idolizes his big brother, and sometimes thinks his sister is really an alien that got dropped off on their door step. He’s dating Adrina, and yes, he wants to be her protector (poor boy has NO IDEA what’s in store for him, LOL).

Eli Brummer. Eldest child of Travis and Maggie Brummer. Pooooooor boy, he’s so confused. He doesn’t play football even though he‘d be INCREDIBLY good at it (because his dad might actually approve and we can't have THAT happening), he likes to start fights, the girl he’s in love with is way too good for him, and on top of all of that he suspects he might, actually, be bisexual--and he’s convinced his parents wouldn’t understand or approve of that and how the hell would he have that conversation with Moira. As such, he’s…a little repressed, a little angry, and just, very confused. His best friend is Evan, who is the only one that knows about his sexual confusion (no, not because they’ve DONE anything, jeez, get your mind out of the gutter).

Bryan Penn. Eldest child of Arthur Penn and Morgana Lefay (yes, she kept her name, bite her). Bryan is very much his father’s son, with just enough of Morgana in him that he’s a balanced. He’s an academiac and is in college, pre-law, takes his studies VERY seriously and plans to spend a glorious career as a district attorney, some day. He’s tight with the Dulac children, and also…might have had a very brief fling with Irina Lazarey, a few years ago (neither of them will confirm or deny this). He (and his sister for that matter) are, like Charlotte, shockingly well adjusted, all things considered. He might have non-brotherly feelings towards Elayne. He’s not sure, and his mother gives him glares about it.

Regina Penn, better known as Gin or Ginny. Youngest child of Arthur and Morgana. Where Bryan has more of Arthur in him, Ginny is mini!Morgana, but mini!Morgana if Morgana had actually gotten the love and attention she so desperately craved when she was young. She looooooooves magic. Loves it a lot. However, where Morgana kind of let the lust for power take her over, Ginny is more focused on her studies--she loves music as much as she loves magic. She plays violin and desperately wants to be a singer on Broadway. She’s also sort of a daddy’s girl, likes to pester the hell out of her brother, and thinks Elayne is the most kick-ass chick ever.

Theodore Sannan, better known as Theo or Teddy. One of the Sannan triplets. Theo, bless his heart, he’s a SWEETIE to the core, he really is, but he’s not the brightest crayon in the box. He’s also, as his shifted form would suggest, big and brawny and forever bumping his head on things or accidentally breaking stuff because he doesn’t always keep his strength in check. He has a big heart, and he LOVES his family and his friends--genuine and uncomplicated love. ‘Uncomplicated’ is just a really good word to describe Theo, pretty much everything just is what it is, or it isn’t, and that’s how he sees things. He’s a goof and he loves a good joke, but he’s also capable of laughing at himself, and so few people can really do that. He adores his mother, like, seriously. He’s sort of one of those boys that wants a woman that’s mommy made over. >.>

Phoebe. Tinker Bell and Rufio’s ONLY child, and something of a miraculous, freak occurrence at that. Phoebe is an odd one in that there are some things she understands completely that you wouldn’t expect, and she’s totally clueless about things you’d think were obvious. She’s…a lot like Tink, but a little more mellow and emotionally capable because of the human blood. She loves to tinker, she loves to fly. Her besties are Magnus, Moira, Michael (except he’s kind of her boyfriend now :D), and Brianna, and she adores her Uncle Peter. Phoebe’s very one of a kind because she IS one of a kind; there’s no other half-sylph in the world, that she knows of.

Evan Langier. The odd dancer of the Langier family, one half of the Langier twins. He’s a dancer, but he prefers ballroom to contemporary, ballet, or jazz (Alice does not understand this, why are her boys so weird? She blames Phillip). Evan has to put up with a lot of bullying because, hi, male dancer, HE MUST BE SUPER DUPER FLAMING GAY (he’s not, but he refuses to confirm or deny it because WHAT THE FUCK DOES IT EVEN MATTER?). He’s best friends with Eli and is the only one that knows Eli thinks he might be bisexual (this would also be why Eli is so quick to kick the shit out of said bullies). He might be interested in Amanda. He might be a little scared of what’ll happen to him if he makes too much of a move on her.

Emma Langier. AKA, little Alice. One half of the Langier twins. Emma is a dancer, just like Alice, Izzy and Evan, but unlike them, she doesn’t see herself doing it forever. Exactly what she wants to do, she’s not a hundred percent sure on, but she’s very a much ‘live moment to moment’ kind of person. She’d kind of like to go to Underland, but alas, her mother forbids it. She’s having a secret fling with Chris and letting him nibble on her when he needs to feed. She suspects her dad and most of her friends would flip the fuck out if they knew, hence the secrecy.

Shayla Sannan. Eldest (technically) of the Sannan twins. Self-worth issues out the wahzoo, people. First of all, it should be noted that most shifters take a particular animal form because they possess the spirit of that animal. That said--foxes are notoriously mistrusted in Oz (in most mythologies, actually). In fact, had the Sannan children been born back when the Wizard was in charge, Adrina and Rand would’ve been the only ones allowed to live as shifters (Mal and Theo would’ve had a collar put on them to bind him to animal form until they lost their human side altogether--Mal would’ve had his wings clipped and been put in zoo. Theo might’ve been put in a zoo, or he might’ve been killed and eaten. Shay? Shay they wouldn‘t have allowed to live, period). No one in Oz likes her, no one trusts her, and no one wants her to be the guardian of the Slippers. Shay exudes confidence, but it’s half an act, and half just her being what she is. She’s naturally very magnetic to men and she has a looooot of sex. In fact, for a while there, if a guy in the group was unattached and no one else in the group had a crush on them? It’s very possible she might’ve had sex with them. This would be before her and Michel, of course, because with Michel, things are different. She doesn’t know HOW they’re different, and that drives her a bit crazy. She works at a bakery and would, actually, MAYBE, kind of like to become a pastry chef. She’s closest to Adrina (because hi, that’s her twin), Billy (she feels like they‘re kind of cut from the same cloth, so to speak), and the Lacroix crew, though she really doesn’t like Alexis (why? IDEK. I think she suspects she and Michel had a thing, or that she’s made a move on him, or flirted with him, or something, but the claws come to the surface whenever Alexis’s name gets brought up).

Teresa Fraser. The odd middle child of the Fraser crew. She has…anger management issues. She’s a witch, like Regan, but she has no interest in the goddess worship and LET’S BE ONE WITH NATURE YAY aspect of the craft. She uses magic to fight, and that’s about it. She’s been in love with Andy for as long as she can remember and the butthead totally didn’t get it, so she was forced to beat him up a lot. In fact, that’s how Terry expresses love. She beats you up. She’s not artsy at all, which kind of makes her feel like a freak accident or something given that everyone else in the family has an artistic touch with SOMETHING, and she…doesn’t. At all. But she loves her brother and her dad, and her mom, even if they tend to butt heads.

Seth Brummer. Oh, poor, dorky, bookish, socially inept Seth. He really does want that ph.D. and he wants it baaaaad, and he’s sacrificed pretty much everything else (read: a LIFE) to get it. He’s painfully shy, but SO sweet. He absolutely worships his big brother, and even though he’s always felt overshadowed by him, he’s never resented him for it. He is, technically, the eldest of the group, but he’s not very good at being a big brother figure (where, say, Brookie is far too good at it). He likes Marie. He really, really likes Marie. And Marie likes him. And this is CONFOUNDING to him. Um, he blushes. A lot. That’s about it. Seth isn’t very complicated.

Irina Lazerey. Technically…not in the group? Since she lives in New York? But also kind of in the group, since she’s connected to Hank and Joe and Merle and Tati. Irina is…she is Sark’s daughter. Really, amusingly, there’s a lot of Sydney Bristow-esque awesomeness in Irina, but omg, she would sneer to be compared. She can be pretty much whatever you need her to be. You need a thief? She’ll steal anything. Need a spy? Oh, what fun. Need an assassin? Not her favorite thing (blood is murder on the designer shoes) but she has enough slips in her moral compass that, yeah, she can do it. However, she spends most of her time in school, for now (Psychology major), save for an excursion here and there. She might have had a fling with Bryan (you won’t get an honest answer out of either of them about it, though). She and Tab and practically joined at the hip.

Brooke Layton. Adopted daughter of Jed and Aurora Layton. Brooke is very much the group’s big sister/den mother. She’s an air mage, a song writer, a huge fan of country music in general and Johnny Cash in particular, and could not be more of a daddy’s girl if she actually made an effort. She’s also the oldest of the group after Seth, though she doesn’t look it at all, on account of that unnaturally long life thing. Brooke, as everyone already knows, is head over heels in love with her best friend Toby and only just figured it out herself recently. Brooke wants the kind of love her parents have: the fairy tale. She wants it BAD. She’s just…scared she can’t really have it because of what she is. So, for now, she’s taking what she can get, and she’s happy, and that’s all that matters. Oh, and she’s kind of ridiculously protective of Magnus. IDK why. She just is.

Brianna Brummer. Youngest child of Maggie and Travis Brummer. Bri…feels ignored. That expression ‘the squeaky wheel gets the grease’? Yeah, well. Eli is the one always getting into trouble and therefore needs the most attention, and Bri often feels kind of…overlooked, by her parents. That would be why she started dying her hair and getting tattoos and piercings (it is not, however, why she’s still dying her hair and getting tattoos and piercing. She still dyes her hair because she likes it and she stills gets tattoos and piercings cause, um, well, she likes the pain. Probably more than she should? >.>). She knows her parents don’t MEAN to ignore her, and she doesn’t want to make trouble, so she just sort of…accepts it. However, the fact that she takes trash and junk and does her best to make something cool and beautiful out of it? That should be telling.

Danny Franklin. Eldest child of Lowell and Harper. Danny is the oddball of his family, as everyone knows, because he doesn’t have any interest in cars or music. He just wants to read his books, be a stuffy Watcher. What’s so wrong with that? (Don’t tell anyone, but…Danny actually does like playing the drums.) He sometimes gets into it with his sister Dee because she feels like he acts like he’s better than them or something, and he doesn’t think that, he just…doesn’t want to be ruled by his hormones, and--HE JUST WANTS TO READ, DAMMIT, OKAY?

Randolph Sannan. Out of all of my group, Rand is the hardest one to get to know. Part of that is just his nature as a wolf shifter, and part of it is just his nature. He barely even opens up to his own family, though he’s closest to Adrina and Mal. Rand is quiet--not shy at all, just quiet. He plays guitar but usually not where anyone can see or hear him, and he’s very fond of sleeping outside, under the stars--in fact, he does more often than not, it’s comfier than his bed. Out of all the Sannans kids he might be the most fond of and connected to Oz--he’d stay there longer and more often if he was allowed to.

Abigail Brooks, better known as Abi. One of the Brooks twins, daughter of Drew and Blanca, identical (where all the others are fraternal) twin to Allison. Abi and Alli are sort of a play on the story of Snow-white and Rose-red. As such, Alli is the more boisterous and outgoing sister, and Abi is more quiet and shy, introspective. As twins so often do to sort of mark their own identity, Abi has her hair highlighted to blonde to sort of set herself apart as an individual. While she isn't a dancer like her mother, she does have musicality, she just channels it differently: she plays piano and she's thinking someday she might want to teach music. She dabbles in magic, but she isn't sure that it's really her thing. Because she's shy, she has a tendency to keep herself a little apart from the rest of the group and be a bit standoffish even though she likes her friends--she'll go to the parties, socialize, hang out, have a few laughs, but more often than not by the end of the night she ends up alone in a room somewhere with a book, or tinkering around on a piano, or just sitting and looking out the window by herself.

Gibson Dawes, better known as Gibbs. The only muse I have here that isn't already related to the group somehow. Gibson's father was a very infamous hunter, Colton Dawes. 'Infamous' because he was kind of crazy, kind of an asshole, and didn't give a shit whether or not a vampire didn't kill humans or a werewolf was making every effort to stay locked up during the moon or a demon was a member of a benign, non-threatening race: he just killed anything that wasn't human without a trace of mercy or humanity (in fact, the more it hurt, the happier he was with the kill), and he tried to raise Gibson to be the same way. Gibbs, thankfully, had a mind of his own--and the fact that his first girlfriend was part Kitsune also helped. Gibson is a hunter, but a merciful one. He will often stalk his prey for weeks to make absolutely sure that they deserve to die (especially if it's a species that was once human, as in werewolves, vampires, and the demon possessed), and he'll pray for them even as he makes the killing strike. Gibson is deeply religious, but doesn't really adhere to only one religion: he quotes scripture from the bible as easily as he does the Tao Te Ching, engages in Buddhist meditation, and has even danced naked with a coven of witches under the Harvest moon a time or two (man, those were some fun times). Despite the fact that Gibson is a good man, the name 'Dawes' carries a stigma with it, and he often has to combat his father's nefarious reputation.
