got back from jen's party...had a good time! kind of hyper as of right now, and i found this amazing poem that i wanted to share...
You look at yourself with such dismay.
A moment of disgust, another torturous day.
For you compare yourselves to these distorted images of perfection.
Wanting to drown in your misery when you're slammed with rejection.
The beauty of a girl is what lies inside.
The heart that beats not the cover on the outside.
The kindness in her soul and the light that shines through her eyes.
When she comes to terms with this truth then she'll realize.
You would throw up after every meal and starve yourself to death.
You'd demolish yourself and never once take a rest.
For you must be exactly like those girls in magazines.
But when you try and try, it's not as easy as it seems.
To be thought of as beautiful and skinny.
To be wanted and admired, and feel pretty.
That is not what beautiful is in the least.
That is the trickery form of a conceited beast.
A real pretty girl respects her body and mind.
She is smart and outspoken and almost too kind.
She believes in herself and lets others know.
The only little doubt she has, she wouldn't let show.
That's what all girls should be inside and out.
With beautiful heart and spirits, without a single drop of doubt.
Throw your magazines away, and never step on a scale.
For if it's perfection you seek, you're living in a fairy tale.
No girl is perfect, but every girl is special.
Every girl in the world should be told she's beautiful.
It's not the hair, the smile, the body or the skin.
It's the color of the soul and the girl within.
isn't it juss amazing, reminds me of guard oh wow!
so tired of the straight line....
