Melchior hopped up onto the counter, watching Wendla fiddle with the strange contraption. He smiled, tilting his head at her.

Wendla pursed her lips and continued poking buttons until something beeped and the mug began slowly spinning around. "Ah!"

Melchior beamed proudly at her. "That thing seems so strange to me"

Wendla beamed. "Oh, I find it so fascinating!" And she leaned on the counter by her elbows, bent a little so she could watch the milk.

Melchior smiled and hopped off the counter, going to lean on the counter like she was to watch the milk. He grinned and nudged her elbow with his.

Wendla smiled at him and nudged him back. She jumped when the microwave started beeping. "Oh!"

Melchior's eyes widened at the strange box. "It's making noise!"

Wendla quickly but carefully took the mug out and happily presented it to him.

Melchior took it gratefully, blowing on it to cool it down. "Come on," he smiled taking her hand and gently tugging her to the fireplace again.

And Wendla sat herself on the rug.

Melchior sat himself next to her, still sipping he milk. "Thank you, Wendla," he smiled, finding her hand.

"You're welcome," she said, squeezing his hand.

"Would you like some?" Melchior asked, offering his mug.

"Yes, please!" And Wendla took a little sip. "Mm." She licked her lips.

Melchior smiled, watching her tongue dart out of her mouth. He set the mug down and leaned closer. "Good?"
