I'm an angst whore at heart, and there's nothing better than a TV show with huge lashings of UST and the delicate dance of two people finding their way tentatively toward one another. Glee have excelled at this before, and they will again, I'm sure, and I know I'll be there lapping up every moment from my lounge chair.
I love Kurt and Blaine as a couple. I think their personalities and ideals beautifully compliment one another. I believe they are soul mates destined to be together. I'm expecting this to take at least until the end of the season, and more realistically, even into the next, but here's what I'd like to see before my OTP is (hopefully) reunited:
Kurt to actually get validation from the world around him... It's starting, but it needs to continue! He needs to be secure in his place in society, and where his future lies. He's always been so strong and confident in himself, but it's time the world stood up and took notice. I feel that Kurt is one of the most emotionally mature characters on this show, and now is the time for those life experiences to open up to him.
Blaine needs to look within and find self validation... The kind Kurt has, the kind that won't have him running to the nearest shoulder to cry on in order to feel self worth. The world seemingly falls at Blaine's feet, but he himself doesn't appear to have the same belief in himself that others do. He needs true confidence, not stage bravado, and maybe when Blaine possesses that, he can win back Kurt's trust and heart.
And I don't want to see this journey being rushed, or miraculously achieved overnight. They both need to work hard and focus on themselves. only once they've seen all that they can achieve as individuals and adults, can they begin to appreciate the importance of the other in their lives.
