The Return & 38 Special

Sep 10, 2006 11:53

Well, Friday night wasn't nearly as good as Thursday. We caught the last few songs of the Beatles tribute band, The Return. They were great. It was amazing how much they looked and sounded like the fab four! I mean, no joke. They even had limey accents. We thought they were Brits! They're from Georgia. Crazy. Then 38 Special played. The crowd was rowdy, but it wasn't the old southern rock fans, it was stupid ass, drunk frat boys. I had to restrain myself from breaking some knees. But I digress, that's not something I care to recall. 38 Special performed well, although there wasn't as much crowd interaction as with Spin Doctors or The Return, part of that may have been because the crowd was much larger.

Didn't go to the Diamond Rio show. I'm not too big on country, after the 38 Special crowd I wasn't too eager to go to the Saturday night show, and because it poured down rain on my way home yesterday afternoon, that sealed the deal on whether or not I'd go.

Anyhow, here are the shots. I'm pretty impressed with them.

LOTS of photos, so dial up readers beware.

Their instruments were gorgeous! Wish we'd have gotten there earlier so I could have gotten more (and better) shots, as well, to hear more of their music.

Usuaully not too keen on motion blur, but I think it works here. Jeff helped me out with this one, had a problem with a stupid drunk kid partially in the photo.

More photos in the sets.
