May 9th (BACKTAGGING)
It's that time of year again. There's a special day marked on the calendars at home, even though it wasn't special until the other workers at the subway found out about it and threw a rushed party. Most of the kids don't know their real birthdays, but the ones who do also just wrote down the same date on their papers.
Even on the Island, there's a big (far too big, but everything's free so why act in moderation) cake and, in some cases, bigger presents. Some are wrapped up in white, some in black. There's also a pile of other colors, but they've been carefully set aside. Getting these was... a dramatic event, to say the least. The room isn't decorated too lavishly, since streamers and whatnot are a bad idea when most of the people celebrating are going to be Pokemon.
It's just the two of them this year, but Bianca and Cheren are still going to celebrate.
