Tomorrow afternoon I'm doing my good deed for the month of January - I'm participating in the transport of two rescue dogs from Danbury, CT to Dayton, OH and Springfield, MO.
This is Nicky, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. He is described as a "good front seat driver, steers nicely." He'll be staying in Dayton.
This is Onjolie (hey, I don't name 'em, I just post 'em), the French Bulldog. She will be riding in the back in a crate, as she is "pushy." She is going all the way thru to Springfield MO.
My BFF The Empress Doctor Kate is a volunteer/foster mom for the French Bulldog Rescue Network and forwarded the request to me - there are something like 10 or 11 "legs" to the transport, with mine being about 80 miles long, over a route I've probably driven hundreds of times. I may decide to take the scenic route going out, when my start time is up to me and it only matters what time I arrive at the meet-up point. I may even go really early and stop at Theo's in Cambridge for pie (Theo's has really excellent pie.)
