Well, my sister gotch'd me yesterday - she called and said, "Guess what I have?" Given her recent puppy lust, I guessed a puppy, but she said, "No, a kitty!" Oh, dear. The last thing this woman needs is another critter, since she has two dogs, two horses, and four other cats. She went on to tell me that she had been birding down by the river and found this tiny, wet calico kitten, and at that point I said, OK, I understand why you brought her home, and she said, "Because it's April Fool's Day!"
Ouch. Haven't been fooled that badly in years. It was a good 'un. I wouldn't have been at all surprised if she'd done something like that, even though we've had repeated conversations about reasonable max number of pets, etc.
