I feel like I've earned a first time parent patch for unnecessary trip to the ER
Okay - so this is what happened.
Saturday Morning I went, picked up my mom, and Sam, she, and I went to a baby shower for cousin Kara about 90 minutes away. It was really long (though not unfun) and the food was not a lot. By the time we got back we were starving and Sam was tired but happy. We went to Ruby Tuesdays for dinner and the wait was a bit long. So sam got cranky. I took her out early and was going to take her to play in the grass but we fell and she hit her head.
Then she threw up and I panicked. (Incidentally so do all of ruby tuesday's staff.)
So we went to the ER because head injury and vomiting is worrying.
When we got there they put us in a room, and the doctor said nothing looked wrong but it was policy to put baby's with head injury's in an ambulance to Childrens Hospital. So we went in the ambulance... which sam did not like even the tinyest bit.
THere the doctor assured us that she was fine.
And now that this is over I can't help but pray that it was covered by the insurance. BC we just got out from under the medical bills LAST MONTH.
