Lucius from DH

Nicked from chillit

Okay, he looks a bit disshevelled, for our divine Mr Malfoy, but still rather sexy in a snarly sort of way, wouldn't you say?

Well, wouldn't you be snarly if they took away your hair care products and made you dress off the rack?!?! I now truly believe the Dark Lord made him a prisoner in his own home. Poor sweet baby!

Oh, totally! How can we hate him for being beautiful if they deprive him of the means for doing do?

And you know he misses his wand. :(

*nods in approval*

Someone else posted this, other than the wonderful chillit, and I was struck by his seeming resemblance to Eric from True Blood - that is to say, if Eric was older and more ragged. Alexander Skarsgard could play Lucius in a younger life, I tell you (and with a Swedish accent, yum).

That said, I will take run-down Lucius. Should he like a cup of coffee from a random stranger, I'd be more than happy to oblige...

Oh, I can definitely see a connection between Eric and Lucius. *nods vigorously* I saw that you had read the last 2 Sookie books. I don't know that I think she's become too compliant - is it because they think she didn't fight Eric hard enough about the "marriage" thing? I think the torture she went through at the end of book 9 would be enough to put a damper on anyone, poor thing.

Yes, that seems to be the primary point of contention with readers. I was surprised at their reactions; like you, I think she's exhausted - and understandably so. (Also, I read books 7-10 furiously in a matter of a few days, so maybe my sympathy is because I was as worn out as Sookie after all that action!) It seems like Sookie's willingness to "fight" Eric's by now well-established manipulative tactics, coupled with her exhaustion, render her rather diminished. She really needs some time to rest.

Love a scruffy Lucius--love everything but the shoes.... Azkaban only has Thom McCann slipon loafers??

*SNORT

Yeah, pretty sad footwear for a Malfoy. Shiv is probably covering her eyes so she doesn't have to look.

Huh. He looks almost Remus-like with those shadowy eyes, definitely troubled. And a little Snapey, too, with his clothing, I guess because he now has more to hide. Of course a bit reminiscent of Sirius, since they've both survived Azkaban now. A very good and interesting look for a man who's undergoing a profound internal change. Oh, and wandless! The movies may be uneven, but they always do right by Lucius.

I think his wandlessness is the part that hurt, to me. It was emasculating for him, in some way. I like the idea of his similarity to Sirius, though. You know he would hate that!

I would indeed say. He looks very unhappy. Though the way he's standing makes him look like an action figure.

Oh, good point. Perhaps this *was* his pose for his action figure.

Perhaps the picture is just of a very detailed, life-size action figure.

(*wants one*)
