Merry Christmas!
Well, it snowed all afternoon, blowing like crazy, and into the evening. SubHub lured me out for a hand-in-hand walk around the block in the falling snow, and I was surprised to see how much had fallen and how it was sticking everywhere. When we got in from our walk, there was a little red bag of "coal" from Santa on my keyboard -- bubble gum! LOL! And an intriguing bag with snowflakes on it under the tree that hadn't been there before. Santa came while we were out walking, apparently ... I'll be very interested to see if my package from Santa contains the pony I requested for Christmas.
I'm happy to report that the rib roast came out very well, and the kids seemed to very much enjoy their dinners. We were all pretty wiped out after eating, so we made it through It's a Wonderful Life and toddled off to bed.
Now my loved ones are still sleeping, and I am keeping watch by the tree with its twinkling lights and beautiful packages.
