Remember how it was 70 yesterday?
I just went out for breakfast with SubHub, and it feels like 33 degrees out there. It was sleeting when we were driving home. The forecast calls for snow, but I won't believe it until I see it.
Baby is sleeping, son will be here in an hour or so, and we're going to bake and watch Christmas movies today.
I *love* Christmas Eve.
I hope your preparations are continuing apace!
For those who don't celebrate Christmas, I hope you can bear with me! ;)
On another note, has anyone else seen a fantasy movie called The Hogfather? In this fantasy world, which exists in space on the back of a turtle, the Hogfather brings gifts to the wee ones on the night before Hogswatch. One year, the Hogfather disappears, and Death takes on the job, stuffing a pillow beneath the red suit of the Hogfather to make him fill out the suit. Death in this show is fabulous, and the whole thing is marvelously holidayish, in an odd sort of way. The character of Death reminds me, oddly enough, of Severus Snape. He goes into a department store and lets the children sit on his lap, very ponderously inquiring if they have been naughty or nice. After receiving assurances from one child that she has been good, he informs her, "Good. We have a contract, then." Why does that remind me of Severus??
