You know what? This is so true. Which is why it worries me that so many justices of the peace or whatever are taking it upon themselves to marry gay people in the middle of all the controversy. Because while it definitely IS a beautiful thing and all these people deserve to get married without a doubt, it's never a good idea to force things upon people. It makes them uneasy and does end up dividing more than bringing together. And it's sad that I have to think like this but there's being completely do-anything-to-end-it against prohibition of gay marriage and then there's being realistic. And the reality is that we gotta take it slow. Because there's gonna be like SOOOO much backlash. Either that or people will be like "Hey, gay people got married and the world DIDN'T explode." And then they'll stop being stupid. Whatever. Love!
