This entry will include as much cockney rhyming slang as possible, even if it leads to barney. I got switched to a new room, up four sets of apple and pairs, and it came along with a fellow I am to room with. He seems decent enough, with a nice pair of mincers, but I suspect the intersection of our preference sets is empty. London is getting a bit chinese chippy. Classes also started and I have gone a bit overboard in sitting in on lectures. Every day I consume a large amount of knowledge and kidney punch. The best lectures I have sat in have probably been 'optimization in function spaces' and 'learning theory', neither of which sounded exciting before I went. Game theory was a big let down and the students in my real analysis class are incredibly rude. John Worrall is a jolly fellow with a strong aversion to postmodernism and Nancy Cartwright does not communicate via email.
My swedish neighbor is a good guy and I met some fellow in the philosophy club who told me he thinks he can save the principle of verification. This is exciting and precisely what this new century needs: another wave of logical positivism.
