1) We've been living in the new house for more than two months, and Verizon STILL hasn't gotten their shit together and connected our phone and DSL service. All of my Internet time has to happen on campus or somewhere else that has a wi-fi hotspot. The closest one of those is a 20-minute walk.
2) Our car was stolen about a week and a half ago. Amy parked it and went to class, and when she came back it was gone. We're renting a car, and hoping that our insurance settlement will allow us to afford more than a fancy two-seat bicycle.
3) I officially have no life. Law school has eaten all of my free time. I had to skip D&D with the Millville gang because I'm writing a memo for school, and I had to walk to the coffee shop to do the statutory research that I needed for the work. Now, I get to walk home and re-write the whole goddamn thing.
4) I know that you're thinking a memo can't take that long to write, but you're wrong. Legal memos are generally written by a junior associate, analyzing a potential case for the convenience of a more senior lawyer. The one I'm working on now is shaping up to be about eight pages long, and I'm facing extensive re-writing. I managed to base my argument on the wrong section of Indiana's theft statutes, and now I have to re-work the whole argument. Don't go to law school if you're to proud to edit your writing.
5) My battery's about to crap out, so I'm out of here. Enjoy your Saturday night, Internets.
