I made up for lost time on Friday night by attending the White Stripes and then traveling across the bay for ID's paradise event.
The White Stripes were good and they ran through a litany of songs-a lot of early songs ("Cannon," "A Boy's Best Friend," "Screwdriver,"), some of my favorite covers ("Jolene, "Death Letter," "Jack the Ripper,") and of course plenty of White Blood Cells and Elephant classics. They really didn't play much off the new album. Opened with "White Orchid" and played about four others.
It never fails, everytime I see them, at the the end of a show Jacky White it still lookin for a home.
The show ended early and I changed so I could quickly make my way to ID to meet Jake. The music was perfect last night and I can't remember the last time I danced for so long.
The return of "Tribulations."
