Trying To Update Occasionally
So, just in case people (read my F-List) are curious heres a little update on the life of me.
`1, I am majorly bummed. I am a country music fan. Yeah, it's hokey, a little twangy, and most of it's fanbase is a bit........right-winged and can be narrow minded. I am an oddity at country concerts- liberal and open minded and ...well, that's part two. But I love good lyrics and stories and Country has some fantastic stories. Plus, I grew up on Country- until the 4th grade it never occured to me to listen to other types. I knew Reba McEntire, Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, Trisha Yearwood, *mumble*Billy-Ray Cyrus *mumble*, Alan Jackson, and.....Brooks& Dunn.
And Brooks&Dunn (Boot Scoot Boogie, Red-Dirt Road, Play Something Country, Hard-Workin' Man [is my anthem sometimes]) are calling it quits. They've been a duo almost all my life. And really, ALL of my years of knowing what music is, being able to form memories (assuming people don't form memories, really, until they are like 3 - and I'm nearly 23, and they've been a duo 20 years) .
They're releasing a greatest hits, and have a fare-well tour planned - I'm so saving up. They HAVE to hit the DC area or possibly Northwest part of the state - for being the capital of Virginia, Richmond has some shitty concert venues. Horrible to say. But none are big enough save the Colluseum. And that is only good for sporting events, a monster truck show, and the circus. Not concerts.
and I know most of my F-List (okay, all of you I believe) doesn't like Country music much but if you are so inclined to humor me, please.

2. My mother is back to being convinced I'm confused about my sexuality. No. Just because I'm content to say I'll find the right man OR woman for me, doesn't mean I don't know what I am. Life isn't as clean cut as Gay or Straight.

I'm the first type. I fall in love with someone, or so I will, hopefully,eventually, it will be for who they are.
So, yeah, it's not the normal dichotomy but I'm not bloody confused. I'm happy in my own skin. I like who I am, I know who I am. Just because it's not in her happy little world- and yes, she'd be happy if I was a lesbian and I know I'm lucky- doesn't make it not legitamate.
The only reason I was off the past couple of weeks mood wise was lack of sleep. But I got that under control, sort of.
Anyway, that's that.
