I was Born on the 4th of July

"Allow myself, to introduce myself. Hello, my name is America. Many people think I'm a woman, ala The Statue of Liberty and sometimes a man. Ala, Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, Jimmy Buffet, etc. You get the idea. But one thing is certain I've brought the sexes and nationalities together on my soil. As many of you know it is my birthday. The day America was Independent from the British. America was free of the Britain's tyranny, but the many people inhabiting my land were not. Even dozens of years after my Independence, people within me were being persecuted. Black slaves, Asian Railroad workers, and Hispanics.

But that time is over. Now in the 21st Century we are at a time where we can all unite for a common euphoric goal. Look past sterotypes and cultures. Live 8 for example. With Live 8, it's just the primordial stages of what poor countries will become. Like America. I'm not saying every country should be America. But every country, especially the poor and unfurtile countries should have to be able to rejoice in life instead of struggle. So when you shoot off your fireworks today, eat your cakes, naked TWISTER. However you celebrate your Freedom, just reflect how Freedom can benefit others, and not yourself."

"I'm sure if every country gave its citizens the freedom, they deserve the world be a happier place today."

Chris: Oh yes, Happy 4th of July everyone.
