They're too big
I am bummer. My wife tried on the size 16 pants I bought her and they were too big. Now, they fit really snug in the thighs, hips, and butt, however the waist gaped open in the back, especially when she sat down. I think it was mostly the brand's cut. Note to self, don't buy that brand again. I do think the 16's are here (to stay hopefully) though. We had a pretty good Christmas meal. She ate and then took a 3 hour nap. I need to do some baking today, there's not a whole lot of calorie-laden desserts sitting around (for some odd reason).
Her birthday is this week. That means a big 1 1/2 pound steak and all the trimmings. She wants to go to a new restaurant this weekend. The owner there is a "famous" pastry chef. They supposively have really good food.
Next year will be an all-out frontal assault on subtely getting her to gain...which means more cooking on my part :)
