entering my 19th year of life.
i think i've lost my eljaying mojo for a bit again. thatt, or im losing my brain cells from the over-consumption of pearls thanks to all the bubble-tea/ pearly soya milk.
but yes, birthday.
firstly, i got to watch Nightmare on Elm Street with Fefe, Steffi and Jerome at eHub. that's only after Jerome brought me to meet the girls who presented me with a pretty colourful cake that they decorated themselves. :D ['twas funny cause i was clueless. Fefe told me to meet Jerome first but i didnt want to. it almost spoiled their plan. but of course, i was easily duped by Fefe who said Steffi had a period emergency so they'd be late laaa. haha] they got me a Topshop gift card too. happy girl is me. lol. and yay for them because with the shrinking of my social circle since school ended, it got a bit difficult to scout for people who have enough balls to watch a horror film with. lol.
then, last Sunday, Fefe, Kim and I headed to Jolene's house to watch dvds. [: i was greeted by her mom, and the 3 girls + her dad, after waiting under the hot sun for them to open the gate for me, and a Sara Lee strawberry cheesecake! then, we settled down after i blew out like, 10 candles. haha. there were trays of fried food + chips + nail polish + dvds laying around. it wouldve been a girlie slumber party thing if it wasnt in the afternoon. lol.
what next. erm, the actual day i turned 19, i met Val and Charmaine in town for lunch. we were all supposed to dress up. ): and then we pretty much wandered the streets with nowhere to go and nothing to do. all the time, i was on my toes and scared because the two of them kept whispering to each other and giving me weird "heh-heh" looks. then i was told that they brought Shindong and Eunhyuk to meet me [yeah rightttt] who turned out to be Sam and Alan. i think we sat at Wheelock waiting for the boys for like, 2 hours? lol.
time flew past just. like. that. dinner at Fish & Co where Aline and Shermaine joined us. i managed to get past dinner without their birthday celebration, again. yay me. sorry i cant deal with solo attention. =/ when we were done, we sat outside Ion while Val and Charmaine kept trying to make me solo dance to Abracadabra. thanks to that random lady singing her guts out, basking on the streets, the music couldnt be heard from my player so it was a no-go. in the end, the entire group went to meet my sister and Sity before we all headed back to mine where my mom was waiting for me to cut the cake.
poor dad took work off for a day cause it was my birthday but i was out the entire day he was home. he was sleeping when i cut the cake la. ):
i must say im sorry my birthday this year wasnt as much a blast as it was for the girls last year where i agreed to do stupid things like jump in the middle of Orchard road screaming "It's my birthday!" or anything. i think i need to be a happy girl to be able to do anything stupid you girls always make me do. this year wasnt happy enough.
anyway, had dinner with the family + the girls at Swissotel's Cafe Swiss too. a pity Raffles Hotel was fully booked the entire month. i'd have loved to have dined there. the food's amazing. Swiss Cafe was great though. (Y)
