Granger sent me a bloody invitation to a birthday party. A birtday party for Potter and Longbottom!
The only birthday parties I have ever attended were those for Draco, of course, and the obligatory faculty and staff gatherings Albus always insisted upon. Thank Merlin my own birthday always fell during the Yule Holiday, and I was excused from such nonsense. They are singularly dull, obnoxious, revolting events!
Unfortunately, it might be best if I do attend. I am uneasy about Draco's residence there, so it will give me ample opportunity to observe his interactions with his housemates. Additionally, I have research to discuss with Longbottom, and have not yet had time to contact him. Not that I would be able to discuss sensitive matters such as his plant at the joyous occasion, but it would give me opportunity to make an appointment to meet with him later.
How utterly revolting. The end of the war did not end my obligation to attend unpleasant gatherings, after all.
