The red headband appears! I knew I'd like the backstory! Even though we've just gotten its first appearance and allusions to how it's a 'first place' token of sorts. There's still the matter of finding out the cause for the first fight over it. (And it's a sneaky way for Sakura to make sure Ino works on her training. *laughs in evil glee*)

Hm, what else, what else.... Funny-odd that Kakashi comments that Tenzo clearly needs a dog, but we haven't seem him summon his. (Man can't take his own unspoken advice. Sigh.) And Rokudaime has dropped remarks about being a summoning expert. So am looking forward to that, and seeing if she has more than one, as I'm suspecting she does.

Ah yes, while there has been very much laughing out (very) loud from me at different points, I enjoyed

for not only its comedic value, but also underlining the difference between Sakura and Rokudaime.

Think I'd better wrap this up - for now. I've already commented a little on the 'ghosts' in the other comments above, but wanted to point out while we're told of Obito's injuries, does Minato have any? Might be that Kakashi didn't get to see Minato's body at all, or not 'till it was cleaned; or just that he was Right There when Obito's final injuries occurred and is easily giving himself blame for those, while with Minato it's more of a 'I should have been there' or 'I cared about him, everybody I care about dies, therefore he died'. (Which is why older-Kakashi is not paying any attention to student-Sakura, and explains why he lavishes the most attention on Sasuke.) There's a whole other comment in just discussing the ghosts (caricatures? or Kakashi is playing up those features he wants to emulate?) but pleased for his sake that in this chapter, not only did they point out that seeing them Isn't Right but also told him he's not to blame for their deaths. I'm more encouraged by the latter than the former. -- And also that he not only carried her to lunch and checked up on her during the chicken pox, but even gave her a stuffed animal. *grins*

I love the Red Ribbon of Friendship from the series so it was only a matter of time before it popped into this fic.

I'd comment on Kakashi's ghosts (and the thoughts/wishes/emotions attached to them) but your theories are fun. Also I have no idea how I'd comment without blabbing so I'll just say that they're very interesting. Veeerrryy in-ter-est-ing!
