52 Weeks.

I have began a new photo project. 52 Weeks.
It's a way of recording my life.
Then I realized I started one week too late. So I crammed to shots for this past week to relate to the first and second week of January. I always make things much more difficult than they have to be.

Anyhow. Originally I was thinking about taking the shot and using it as a visual to a journal entry. However I've come to realize that photography is as strong a mnemonic as text for me. Seriously, looking back at a photograph, I can remember not only the event, but surrounding ones also. It's pretty gosh darn neat... so I don't know how it'll pan out.

The first picture is of me at home (which was my circumstance at the time). Although I was describing the actual project, I feel like it was the essence of my photographic POV. I am tired of people assuming they have any place between me and my photography. Really? Shesh. Anywho, it made me love my purple wall again =)

Walking around the other day I found the monster washing mashiine. It made me laugh--I knew I had to use it. This morning, seeing so many maintenance people I freaked out thinking I might have missed my chance, so during my one hour of freedom I ran over there--It was still there. I was going to shoot, but it was too bright in there, so I waited for tonight. I go in there, and my pants are ruining the shots...even though I have them rolled all the way up to my thigh. I close the blinds and cover the door-view with the ironing view, take off my pants to completely block it off and crawl back into the washing machine. Ha ha. Oh goodness. I'm so glad it's only us CA's right now. It makes my random shots possible. It's weird though... I only took about 7 frames. Granted that was partially because I was a) pantless in a semi-public area b)without a remote so running in heels and diving into the washing machine was not fun and c) kinda chilly, but mostly it was because when I saw the machine, I knew exactly what I wanted the shot to look like. It's weird having it work out just like it's in your head, you know?

Umm... what else is up with me.

I applied to NYSC again last night. It would go perfectly with the Germany/Italy trip, except I got an email today that stated we needed more people (seven) if the trip is going to happen... so I'm going to start bugging people like no other because I AM going on that trip.

Training started today. Classes start soon. Scawy.

Later Loves.
