I was in section C, booth 1. Nice wide angle and slightly above the stage. :)
Yeah, no flash. Wide open, crank the ISO to it's max setting. Hence all the noise ... it's just nifty that it looks like B&W film grain. If I'm going to shoot flash at a gig, I'll use a remotely controlled unit and get it the hell off the camera. Example:
Sidelit (at about 30deg) with the flash balanced so the stage lighting on the smoke is still punchy.
And besides, trying to smuggle in a 80-200 f2.8 lens is *so* much more fun :)
BTW, are you the Quentin I met at Jacita's picnic in Coburg?

I am!
I was in Section C, seat 7. At the end of the show, I passed three people on my way out who looked familiar, like they were people I ought to know. I put it down to how everyone with a certain style of dress looks familiar after a while. They were seated to my right, a little closer to door 4 then I was, which would be about right.
A male with *I think* a fedora style hat and a beard, a girl with a page-boy style haircut and a top that reminded me of a sarong and a second male who seemed familiar in similar fashion but who's dress I can no longer picture.
From the shots, I thought you must have been down lower but I guess not.

Well, I wasn't positive at the time that I had met you all but I have this sneaking suspicion now, that I once met Maia at a birthday party in Leveson St, Nth Melbourne.
Still, you looked like people that move in the same circles and apparently I was right.

Not sure where you would have met Maia and Andrew ... possibly via Jacinta and Paul.
