WATCHMEN!
I LOVED IT!
I CAN NOT TELL YOU HOW RELIEVED I AM THAT I LOVED IT!
I'M SEEING IT AGAIN ON TUESDAY!
I WANNA SEE IT AGAIN TOMORROW!
ACTUALLY I WANNA SEE IT AGAIN RIGHT NOW!
The ending worked! It's not better than the book, as some suggested, but it's not really worse either. And while I really like the side-story of the missing artists and scientists and how it all comes together, I kind of get that they couldn't have squeezed it into the movie in a satisfactory way. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the expository title sequence, I could watch it all day. ♥
I have two tiny complaints:
- The beginning, a.k.a. The Comedian getting beaten up, could have been cut to about half it's length. Same goes for the Dan/Laurie scene of epic sexing. I never knew Leonard Cohen could sound so much like Barry White. (Speaking of music, LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL @ 99 Luftballons :D )
- This is so minor, but I wish there had been more Bubastis. Since she only showed up at the very end and without any explanation, she seemed a bit random. I would have been sad to not have her at all, but I understand that people who haven't read the comic were confused by her.
Does anyone know if the title sequence is up anywhere? I thought I had heard sth about that, but maybe I'm thinking of another movie.
What did you think, flist?
