Thoughts on 'Erlkönig'
I recently linked to this livejournal from fanfiction.net, where I recently posted a fic titled Erlkönig. Based on the eponymous Schubert song, and set in the Labyrinth-verse, the story refused to let my mind go. And even now, I'm still musing about it ...
... although that's probably because I didn't finish the author's notes. Bah!
So, I will be posting the second half of my author's notes here. And perhaps I will move the fic here as well - although I have no web skillz, so it might be clunky for a while.
Anyhoo, stay tuned.
Oh - and here's the subtitles that Erlkönig left me with, for some of the shots in the ballroom scene.

Oh, and a quick note: I liked the first picture for "Erlkönig" because of the dark, cold colors, and the overall ominous feel to it. In my fic, Sarah is older, Jareth's hair is less poofy, and he's wearing a different outfit - I love the colors in this picture, after all, but I really think the spiky collar to his cape is a bit silly. :)
